We have been full-timers since 2019.  We have traveled around the country, and we have experienced our share of repairs.

We recognize that RVs need regular servicing and maintenance.  We also know that appliances stop working or don’t work efficiently and need repairs or replacement.
When you choose Nomad Dad for your RV repair, you are supporting our family business.  We come to your location - you don’t have to move anywhere.

Derek earned the nickname Nomad Dad during his time as a stay-at-home dad and roadschooler.  His job as homemaker included the maintenance of the home - servicing and fixing appliances and parts of the RV.  He learned through YouTube and trial and error.  Later, Derek received his education at the National RV Training Academy.  He became certified through RVTAA.  He learned the right way to perform these services, as well as the importance of using someone who knows what they are doing.
He discovered his passion for troubleshooting problems and fixing them.  He also enjoys making upgrades to fully optimize RVs to their biggest potential!  Visit our Services page for more information on our mobile RV repair services.

Kelsie worked as a travel nurse in pediatric ICUs around the country during our roadschool adventures.  After the birth of our third son, she took over the stay-at-home parent and teacher role.

She manages the business and household schedules.  She books your appointments and maintains the books.  Kelsie looks forward to helping you with your RV maintenance and repair needs.

Derek and Kelsie take a lot of pride in homeschooling their boys.  They read from the Bible every day.  The boys get to study practical life skills, including business and consumer math.  They love San Diego so much, they decided to return for our mobile RV repair business.  Derek likes to include them in jobs and responsibilities around the RV.
